Hello! My name is Liwa, but some of you guys might also know me as Luo! I'm a SEAsian (Filipino diaspora) hobbyist illustrator from California. I thrive on food, lattes, and long hours of naps. I also have a penchant for making OCs for my own projects and for any new interest that I dive head-first into! I currently use an iPad Air 5th Generation (tablet), Huion Kamvas Pro 13 (desktop), and Clip Studio Paint for my work!WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU?
I'm primarily active on Bluesky and Instagram, and honestly those are the two places you'll really only find me on! I no longer use Twitter due to obvious reasons, and mainly post art on Tumblr. More recently, I've revived my Tiktok and I now have a Telegram channel, though the latter is mostly there for the accessibility of international mutuals and other users.WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS?

PERSONAL PROJECTS

A fantasy world with subtle elements of science-fantasy and cosmic horror. This is the first series in my overarching universe, titled "Tomes of the Arbiter", and it introduces a world threatened by supernatural colossi. At its core, the story explores the inevitability and complexities of change, and how we define ourselves through it. This is the home of one of my main OCs, Rhayisa, and many more who will accompany them on their journey!

A rework of my very first OC world from 2019, originally titled "GENESIS/CODE". Looking Glass takes place in a cyberpunk future with elements of supernatural fiction. It features brutalist architecture and liminal imagery. The story itself is a commentary on utilitarianism and how we may rely on the worst for the sake of survival. However, there is still a sense of hope despite everything, a message I intend to stick to. This setting features revamped versions of my oldest OCs, as well as newer faces.

[COMING SOON] - Pray Tell, Lotus-Eater: A slice-of-life, avant-garde series of short stories. While there is a sense of storyline, some of the short stories are not always connected. It explores liminality and psychological themes. For the really OG ones, this is a revamp/spiritual successor of a personal webcomic I created in high school titled "Deoxyribonucleic Acid".
